Comments: The one night Sensei chose to have 'off ', we get the
worst snow storm for years. I think he might be getting seriously
tuned in to nature, (as is the case with all wise old sages) and
knew about it in advance. As It was I was stuck between Alton and
Liphook helping one of the boys in blue out of a ditch and then
watching his back end for the next three hours, stationary!
Apologies to sempei Dave for leaving him on his own, How many made
it?

Comments OK I promised I would sign it, so sign it I have. Still
not too keen on the photos of me, but I guess I can live with
it!!... Found out that my chosen Universities do this karate type so
we can carry on in term time! Oh yeah, great site BTW! ;-) See you
Wednesday!

Comments: My compliments on a fantastic Web site, I have been
studying for 19 years now in the Martial Arts most recently Aikido,
one comment though there are so many translations of the katas used
in Wado, but more applied in Aikido for Weapons for example
Nagashizuki as evasion from spear or Jo attacks and nee work like
Sawari waza also used to be trained in Wado. I trained Wado for 12
years on and of but it does not seem to use these and many other
aspects of the art which obviously come from Ju-jitsu and aiki-Jitsu
it always seemed to be aimed more at perfect Katas and competition.
I have seen many Katas translated incorrectly by high graded
instructors e.g. at a Seminar in Coventry in 92 I saw a 7th Dan do
this with the start of Yondan. I have studied aspects of Chinese
Arts like Hung Kuen and Wing-chung these Arts work from the Form. I
am curious why Karate has lost a lot of its Martial Practise and
practical principles? I feel that Wado is the best of all the forms
of Karate more rounded but it falls down on these points. Katas no
matter how pretty are just dancing if you don't know what they
means. If you have any comments I would be interested

Comments: Hi, I came across your website while surfing and
thought this may be of interest. Recently I set up a location for
martial arts and other sports clubs to spend training/vacation time
in northern France. Information on www.jiansys.co.uk - please take a
look and get in touch if it might be useful. Herqueville Manor is in
Normandy, not far from Rouen, Paris and the Normandy coast and can
easily accommodate 30+ people. It is a great way to get to know your
club members better as well as generating interest and enthusiasm.
Hope to hear from you. Best regards Jeremy Gardner

Comments: It was nice to know about - Surrey Wado karate clubs.
It's nice to know that your firm was formed with a mission to help
both young and older people fulfil their potential in life, & lead
fitter, healthier lifestyles. The section on ' History of karate' is
well presented on the site. Your site is sure to appeal scores of
people across the globe. I enjoyed browsing through your ' Photo
gallery ' section given in the site. The other links provided are
informative. The site can be very helpful to many individuals.
