Comments: Hi Corin (please forward to Corin 2nd Dan), This is Raj, I used to come to your Haslemere Club on Wednesday evenings. Just to let you know out of courtesy, that my contract down south had finished prematurely unfortunately. Not unfortunate work wise, but unfortunate in the sense, that I cannot attend the Haslemere club anymore. The standard you set was high, and I admire an instructor who corrects a karate ka, when required. It is with your experience that you can see small errors in junior karate ka like me, and the guidance/instruction you provided was of a very high standard, and I took them very positively This brings me to a quote from Gichin Funakoshi which goes something like... "An instructor is rated through not his/her accomplishments, but through the accomplishments of his/her students. Those students who show etiquette, execution, discipline to the highest standards, are the manifestation of the instructor to the observing world". Your students will do you good justice, believe me, they are sharp. The few months I did attend, I have learnt a lot from them, and am now progressing very well both mentally and physically thanks to you. The karate club members were very friendly and welcomed me no problems there (Sam and Dad tall guys, Dave, Gavin, Shaun). Just wish I could still train there on Wednesdays. Try to keep in touch, and let me know if I am still welcome as guest student, if I am in that neck of woods in future times. Also if you are ever in Midlands area on a Sunday morning, you are most welcome as a guest to our Sunday karate club (Awaikai wado ryu). Regards, Raj Chanian 07855 358 448

Comments: Many thanks to Sensei Arthur Meek for coming to teach at Haslemere at the end of April. It's so motivating to see someone who is technically so good and who has achieved so much, still wanting to learn and improve themselves and aspire for perfection! Sensei also gets his point across so well, and my body (which took about a week to recover!) was proof of how realistic his applications were. I'm looking forward to next years seminar already!

Comments: Congratulations on the training we have all been receiving lately, not only is it enjoyable, but encouraging to see how much we all can benefit from good instruction. Sensei Shiomitsu was just sensational and a great help to us all. With all the guest instructors we will be having over the next year (Sensei's Arthur Meek and George Grimes shortly), we are in for some fantastic training & some enjoyable times. CONGRATULATIONS

Comments: Trained with Grand Master Ohtsuka in Guildford on the Winter Course. I found it very awe inspiring and I real eye opener. Looking forward to the future training seminars with Sensei's Shiomitsu, Arthur Meek and George Grimes over the coming months. We are very honoured to have such great instructors teaching at our clubs. Had a good session this morning learning more about nagasu. Think I need a bit more practise!! :-)
